Robert Rehnig, born in 1977 and based in Leipzig, works in the fields of sound art and electroacoustic music. He studied piano with Josef Christof at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" as well as electroacoustic composition and sound art with Robin Minard at the SeaM (Studio for electroacoustic Music - Hochschule für Musik "Franz Liszt"/ Bauhaus Universität) in Weimar and with Kevin Austin and Mark Corwin as guest at the electroacoustic studio of the Concordia University in Montréal. Since 2006 he is member of the CEC (Canadian Electroacoustic Community). He cofounded the theater company "erweiterte zugeständnisse" (Leipzig/Vienna, 2008) and in 2009 together with other artists he launched the cross genre studio AVA workspace. Since 2008 he also focused on eletroacoustic improvisation. Since 2012 he teaches electroacoustic music at Neue Musik Leipzig. At last the electroacoustic audiobook "jean henri fabre: der heilige pillendreher" has been released at buchfunk publishing. Works were presented in the last years at:
